Did Israel comment after it hit the UN truck? The article makes it sound like the UN truck was an intentional target. But, without a comment from the Israeli government, it's unclear whether it was a mistake or not.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.252.128.18 (talkcontribs)

They commented on the UN school, they said there were Hamas militants in the school which the UN rejected, the next day Israel retracted its statement that there were Hamas militants in the school saying they had no evidence to support that claim. Israel, to my knowledge, has not commented on the trucks hit. Soapy (talk) 05:13, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

They had radar of attacks coming from the school from a counter-battery. They commented that the truck could not be them, cant remember the details though.--CnrFallon (talk) 18:37, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The UN really needs to show some backbone. They're allowed their convoys and such to be attacked throughout various regions of the globe without any REAL consiquences. Sure, they arn't a nation but it's still the equivilent of an act of war. It's simple, if someone attacks anything UN then the UN members should ALL retaliate. Then maybe this sort of madness would stop. One group surely cannot stand against the will of the planet and since the UN has a mandate from nations around the globe, and the governments of those nations are. for the most part, elected, then the UN has that mandate. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.113.208.150 (talkcontribs)
