Analysis of speech

Below is my analysis of the speech:

• Bush: Over the past year, we have seen significant security gains result from the surge.
• Truth: Thousands have died due to the surge.
• Bush: Less visible are the political and economic changes taking place.
• Truth: There aren't any good changes.
• Bush: The Air Force was critical in liberating the people of Afghanistan, and the people of Iraq
• Truth: The Air Force was critical in ruining the lives of the people of Afghanistan, and the people of Iraq.
• Bush: The military achievements in Iraq have been accompanied by a political transformation.
• Truth: The military disasters in Iraq have been accompanied by a political crises.
• Bush: Tragically, the progress threatened to unravel in 2006.
• Truth: The progress threatened to unravel in 2006 because of the actions by the US Government.
• Bush: We took a hard look at the situation, and responded with the surge.
• Truth: The US government took a hard look at the situation, and responded with the surge, as they decided it would ruin the most lives.
• Bush: This dramatic shift in policy had two primary goals. The first was to improve security conditions.
• Truth: This dramatic shift in policy had two primary goals. The first was to ruin lives.
• Bush: The other goal of the surge was to open up space for political and economic progress after security returned.

Hard to disagree...
