I don't recall a statement after repeated targetting of Israeli settlements for the "HAMAS" group to stop shelling civilians. The UN is in partnership with Hamas in using the civilian population of Gaza as hostages against the Israelis.

Let a caring Hamas return the captured Israeli soldier, and let the firing stop then complain if peace is not restored. Leon

What you just said would make sense only if Hamas was the only party carrying out the violence. Israel has been killing Palestinian civilians for the last 30 years with almost no violent resistance, and violent resistance only began very recently. Hamas' rockets were fired after the killing of Palestinian civilians, many see Hamas as their only vanguard against unending Israeli settlement. If you think that the whole UN is for some reason against Israel, I cannot imagine what your logic is. The whole of the Middle East (Iran and the PLO included) has supported a two state settlement for nearly 30 years, yet Israel has rejected it every time it has come to the table with U.S backing. I don't understand your argument that somehow Israelis are innocent bystanders to rocket fire coming from radical Hamas militants, should Israel be denied food and power everytime they launch one of their numerous attacks on undefended civilians in Palestine? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Soapy (talkcontribs) 06:49, 25 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
