ahh shiatt!!

I hope you won't be mad at me for this question: what's the point of creating this article? BBC, Aljazera and others already gave better coverage and people (Wikipedians like me also) read first them. I wonder who will read this. Is this only pro forma?

This is the first I've heard of it ;-) Spacehusky 23:07, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
First I've heard too. I read (and contribute to) Wikinews so that I don't have to bother visiting BBC News or Aljazera regularly (what sane person wants the latter to be a regular appearance in their internet history anyway?!). I'm sure this is why many people read Wikinews. For me it is a blessing to be able to keep up with the world whilst avoiding the sickeningly biased views all over corporate media. Anyway... this news is less than 24 hours old. So probably a large majority of folks reading this *will* be reading it for the first time. Shane.Bell 08:42, 12 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
