I hate advertising, especially the ads I see online...

Not to mention the corporations commoditizing our attention which could otherwise be used for productive/useful purposes. Like reading a thought provoking book instead of scrolling through the addictive mindless tweets.

Great. Just what Twitter needs: advertising. They had a good thing going there. Of course, they built market-share first and added advertising after they had a strong hold in the online community, so that's good business anyway.
