I was a Canadian AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) for over thirty five years licenced on aircraft, from Ce3ssna 170's to Boeing 747's and this accident just proves the difficulty that aircraft mechanics job is! What other job or position can a mistake make one liable for manslaughter? The low wages Aircraft Mechanics receive compared to factory workers, office workers, especially unionized civil servsnts, etc point out the value of properly trained personnel when one looks at pilots pay! It is about time that changes are due!
