Everybody knows there are great whites in the False Bay area. They need to stop 'chumming' for sharks in this area, and tourists need to find some other kind of activity to get their 'thrills' from, if the 'chumming' stops the sharks will stay closer to Seal's Island and not so close to the shorelines.

Recent shark attack and related press edit

I hope propels realise that as upsetting as this shark attack is, that being attacked by a White shark is rare. We kill millions of sharks each year, many for pointless 'sharks fin soup'. Such a fuss is made over one human death but no real fuss made over millions of sharks being wiped out in one of the cruelest types of industries I've ever known. With respect to the family involved with this tragic incident, please remember this is a protected species. It is a predator and if we go in the sea, there is always a risk from many thing, the smallest of which is sharks. It would be nice to have more balanced reporting both sides as otherwise we end up with 'misunderstandings'. Whilst protected in coastal waters the main part of the ocean holds no protection for this magnificent species. Please look up and get involved with shark preservation. Thankyou
