Arm the Ships edit
- Since only the pirates are armed the ships are sitting ducks for the pirates. The Tankers need to be armed and trained how to use there arms properly. When the pirates start loosing their ships and lives they will slow down if not stop all together.
It is silly and ludicrous for international law to require the shipping companies to be unarmed.
Arming the ships will only escalate things. If pirates think they are in danger they'll just kill everyone on the ship by default. Not to mention the corruption of the guards possibilities. Besides there are already successful noise weapons that can be used safely, and if that isn't enough it is a job for the navies of the world, not private security. 68.210.105.210 23:44, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
What's wrong with a few pirates on the high seas? Isn't it about time this most ancient of maritime arts should experience a worthy renaissance? After all these stout-hearted Somalis are following in the footseps of such legends as Edward Teach (Blackbeard), Jean Fleury and Henry Morgan.
