I will miss him on the radio myself. --Rayboy8 (talk) 21:03, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I would like to say a huge Thank you to Sir Terry, his voice is and has always been, a warm welcome from a good and trusted friend,he has got the nation through some very sad times, with a smile on their faces, and he gives us the gift of laughter. I shall miss him, so very much, but wish him all the very very best for his future.

How ever the choice of Chris Evans to replace him, makes me shudder, and my radio will be tuned eles where, what ever were "they" thinking of, the man has no likeablity, no appeal, his show is all about him....nothing eles seems to be inportant to him. With so many talented people out there, they give it to somebody, with no talent, just a huge ego. It makes it all the more sad.

Yours faithfully Lorraine Giles —86.214.26.211 (talk) 07:34, 8 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Terry's Leaving!

edit

I have grown up with Sir Terry and have continued listening to him on reaching adulthood. He will be greatly missed and although changes are inevitable, the morning radio sessions will not be the same. Even though Chris Evans is good in his own right, someboduy like Ken Bruce or Johnny Walker would have been better suited the the early morning slots. There are already radio stations geared up to the younger generation and I feel, even though I am not a pensioner, that we need somebody for the middle/late generation.

Thank you and good luck to Sir Terry.

Terry's depature

edit

Thank you Terry and crew for brightening my journey to work for many years. Mornings will not be the same without your banter. All the best to you all. However, to be replaced by Chris Evans ?????? Well I for one will not be listening my radio will be switched off at 7.30 and if he encroaches on Sarah's show, as suggested, before then. The only good thing is that I will be able to listen to Radio 2 once more on the way home from work as surely he can't be on twice!!!!

All the best to Terry, and thank you. Things will not be the same.

Best wishes Barbara Smith
