for some reason i doubt this was a "natural" occurrence...
Whether it is or not, I'm not sure it will matter. There have been a string of highly publicized deaths of Canadians in Mexico for the past several years. Based on what I've heard so far, people in Canada are starting to reach the tipping point of seeing Mexico as a place that is too dangerous to visit. I foresee a flood of tourists visiting the Cayman Islands and Trinidad and Tobago, with a corresponding drop in trips to Mexico from Canada.
