I remember as a child I would sometimes drive through Gordon (as a passenger, I hasten to add) and note the signs they had saying GORDON Please Drive Carefully. At the time I found them funny, as if some person called Gordon was being told by a roadsign he specifically was a bad driver. Looking back, I just find it evidence that at least one person with some local power has been worried about the roadways in the area as far back as 20 years ago.
