No Humor

edit

Anyone who would call these commercials "pornographic" or "homosexual" and give those a negative connotation has no sense of humor. These commercials are funny (I first saw them during Adult Swim and they were funnier than the actual programming) , they get you talking, and moreover they make me feel as if Quiznos' (as a corporation) has a sense of humor. —-Eric 00:36, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

meh.

edit

The commercial is up on youtube, its not particularly erotic or funny. I can't see anyone except the most homophobic members of society being offended by it. The innuendo is definitely immature but its not obnoxious, and I don't see how this would offend an adultswim audience. "the closest we'll get to a gay porn flick in a mainstream sub shop ad" ? Yes probably, but only because gay pornography probably wouldn't sell many sandwiches. There are thousands of commercials more "pornographic" than this one. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.70.153.191 (talkcontribs)

I'd call it a success.

I've heard their pitch, and I don't even watch television. 209.30.165.25 04:37, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

I really wish some people would see the humor for what it is, and not represent it as purely "gay". Not one person has mentioned the fact that "Scott" is looking down at what appears to be another sub sandwich(behind the vine ripened tomatoes) on the counter when he says "That burned" yet everybody seems to notice that since he is standing upright when he looks down, he must be looking at his genitals, although there is no other indication that is what he is looking at. Now, what we have is a dual meaning in the humor presented, which I find it hilarious that more people notice the "gay" innuendo than the straightforward explanation that he is looking at a torpedo that may have been too toasty for his liking and that to "put it in" again, would only burn it further.

Keep up the great work Bob Sassone-of searching out all that is gay in media and you too could be the next Jerry Falwell!

If you get attention through controversy...

...then you get business.

Are you serious?

There are massive food shortages and debts in Southeast Asia, the world economy is going to hell in a handbasket and someone wants to write an article stating the obvious? Stop smoke-screening and do some actual journalism, for chrissakes. --76.11.240.232 21:26, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

The new Quiznos commercials are disturbing. I can't imagine who the target audience is. They missed the mark on this one. "Wide appeal"? I don't think so.

Disgusting Homosexual Commercials

edit

The commericials featuring the voice of HAL from the movie 2001 are disgusting and offensive.

I think this ad no matter how you look at it has no taste nor tact. People nowadays lack real creativity and therefore fall back on sex to sell. I didn't find it funny in the least. I WONT be buying any of these sandwiches. -76.27.104.26 22:00, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Weird

It is clear to me not to buy from them anymore.

Funniest Commercial. those who don't see the humor, just get over yourself.

totally disguisting

edit

who wants to eat at a place where the help is strongly encouraged ( by the company) to rub his penis in the food prep area and get his rocks off? I thought there were laws against that? The company is encourging their employees to have gay sex with anything in sight while on the clock? After reading further the company stated that the commericals represent them well and their ideals and values,,first it was a gross rodent flopping around on your food and now this? I think quiznos had tasty food but now i cant even look at it,let alone think of eating it,,, I would be REAL careful if you eat there and order any sandwich with mayonaise on it. Their marketing department must be headed up by the pot headed nephew who has blackmail on the company owners.. i am totally done with EVER eating ANYTHING there AGAIN

With the new Playboy - Quiznos commercial patterned after the 2 Girls 1 Cup video on Youtube, maybe they should change their customer service number to 1-800-EAT-CRAP —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.94.155.79 (talk) 01:01, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's not offensive...

..unless your six year old asks why he said "put it in me" like mine did.

TV sucks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.222.91.253 (talk) 23:18, 5 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Commercial

edit

I am sorry that there are some of you that have nothing better to do than complain about a commercial that is very creative and thinking outside of the box. I am gay, and I never took this commercial in a sexual comparative way. It is very enjoyable and all my straight friends thinks its is so off the wall and enjoyable. I miss seeing Scott and the Toaster Oven having their conversations, please with all regards bring this commercial back... _____rik —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.82.138.227 (talk) 23:54, 21 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pornographic?

edit

If someone's actually describing this commercial to be "pornogrpahic" then stay away from the internet, because I don't think you'll be able to handle the stuff on their.

Also, they're not encouraging people to mack on their toasters, unless those toasters are also sentient, and can talk. Get real people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.93.13.226 (talk) 13:29, 20 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
