They based the entire trial on anonymous statements? So does that mean I could mail in a few dozen anonymous letters to the French police about some random person and get a conviction? That's... stupid. Talk about a recipe for abuse.

When writing this, it took a serious effort to avoid adding the words 'in defiance of international law'. In the end, I let the ECHR do that for me.
