As an outsider, who doesn’t know every detail about our governments balance sheet, I believe trusting Obama, with his thoughtful approach, is all I can do.

If hes serious about cutting the deficit at all he should cut the trillion dollar + military/intelligence spending. You don't need 50%+ of the world's military spending to defend against a few cave dwellers. Let's get real here.

It is however needed to contain China which would have overrun Taiwan if US didn't keep them in check. And don't forget about the Canadians who have amassed 80% of their population along our border. --65.51.209.124 (talk) 18:12, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Those evil Canadians and their socialism.

They wont. Big spending is good for Lockheed-Martin after all. 164.116.47.180 (talk) 17:39, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

When 90% of the budget is wasteful, nicking the skin won't solve anything. —68.224.36.62 (talk) 19:12, 2 February 2010 (UTC) BrentReply
