I don't know that he killed Nichole and Ron Goldman, I do not dare say he did not. This trial was in Nev and was totally disconnected from Calif the evidence was clear he intened to recover objects by force if necessary. Desperate and in need of money he decided to play cops and robbers and guess who got caught as the robber? I feel sorry for this man a 61 year old legend. I grew up watching him and what happened? Tom Scotto did not do Simpson any favors by lying on the witness stand about the 50,000 extorted by alexandar and mc'clinton. This crime was stupid, if the objects belonged to him when he entered the room and saw them he should have called the police. However, these objects did not belong to him and therefore here we are convicted. Lawyers tried to paint the fellas who helped him in a bad light but really all they did was throw more dirt on their client Mr. Simpson. We just get so busy doing things that we forget to stop and think about what and why were doing them. He will have plenty of time to wonder what and why for a man that once had it all now all he has is time! article title

Agreed edit

I totally agree with the above comment, and I am surprised (and relieved) that none of the hateful stuff has appeared yet, as I'm sure it eventually will. No one has been able to prove that O.J. ever killed anybody, although if he had, there should have been physical evidence littered all over the crime scene. For one thing, he doesn't strike me as one that is smart enough to have done a very good job in covering up a a murder scene involving a knife attack. Besides the fact that the perpetrator had to kill two very athletic people who undoubtedly put up a fight -- it's just plain messy. Therefore there had to be DNA all over the place (and yes, DNA technology did exist in '94).

For those who argue that he did lose the civil case, I'd like to remind them that the difference between criminal guilt and civil guilt is that to be criminally convicted, the crime must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt -- while to be found civilly liable, the jury must only find a "preponderance of evidence" (51% probability) that the person was responsible. Given that he did not have to physically kill anyone to be found civilly liable, coupled with a very biased court of public opinion, in which many people perceived he got away with murder (though it was never proven) -- we thus can see why he could be found both innocent and guilty at the same time.

Although I believe O.J. is not the most intelligent of people, I still do not believe he is the one that killed Goldman or Brown. It is just as plausible to me that drug dealers did it, since at the time it was no secret that both O.J. and Nicole were alleged drug users. It also seems unlikely to me that he could have succeeded at killing them both by himself. He is a FORMER NFL star, but his body is so wracked with football injuries that I find it unlikely he could have done it. I always did believe that there were multiple assailants.

As for the book "If I Did It," it may have been an attempt by O.J. to explain why it did not make sense that he would be the killer. If the Goldman family were so outraged by the book, then they should have let him publish it and allow the American public to judge for themselves. If it were a confession as they claim, then why not let him confess? If it was an argument about why he is innocent, then let us see that too. Although I am sorry for the Goldmans' loss, I also believe they have been blinded by their anger. It would not be the first time that victims have unfairly placed blame on the wrong person, as the Innocence Project has proven many times through DNA exonerations.

Now, regarding his CURRENT legal woes -- I feel that it actually offers further insight into his character. He obviously felt wronged, but instead of going through the proper channels, he took the law into his own hands. Again, it's a stark example of limited intelligence, as he should have known by now that the smartest thing he could do is completely keep his nose clean, as there are many people that hate him and would jump at the opportunity to throw the book at him. Also, if he wanted to convince anybody of his innocence of the aforementioned murders, the last thing he should have done was commit a crime involving a handgun. Even so, to me this is still not evidence that he committed the murders before. -- Preferring Anonymity —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 21:09, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Its a shame! edit

The Justice system was on trial here and they failed. Clearly Simpson just wanted some personal effects returned, requested help from the Las Vegas Police Department but was denied and while the perpetrators who brought the weapons were given a pass to lie on Simpson so that they may go home reminded me of the lynching in the south its just modern day lynching. I am truly embarrassed for Las Vegas and more importantly for this great country the low some people will go to get a win, its sad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by William47 (talkcontribs) 04:42, 7 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

OJ Simpson edit

OJ Simpson was a good football player, until those murders.

reap what you sow edit

I am a professional black man in this racist white America, but I do hold myself to a higher degree of manhood, and not give them, what most whites expect from black people, total ignorance, and stupidity. O.J. has displayed both, and his arrogance is what placed him where he is today, NOT racism.

What most people don't understand, is what the word of God states; "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" Galatians 6:7

It also states: "Romans 12:19 - Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

OJ received what he gave! and he did it at his own hands. This white woman would be alive today had OJ had not try to avenge himself.
