The aircraft that come out of the former Soviet nations are actually often quite good products perfectly capable of anything the Boeing, Airbus, Embraer or Bombardier competitors can do at a fraction of the price. Antonov, Ilyushin, Sukhoi and Tupolev are unfairly overlooked. Perhaps when Western airlines remember that the poorer models are a thing of the past and that the Cold War thawed out a long time ago then the manufacturers dominating the sector will have a major fall from grace.
