Mandela spent twenty-seven years in a South African prison as a convicted terrorist, not just for being the leader of a group. They planted bombs and killed innocent people. Today, people like that are still considered terrorists!
Mandela was held as a political prisoner by a racist and anti-democratic regime. He is one of the truest guardians of peace and democracy, and the most brilliant statesman the world has ever seen.
