When was the point when our civilization became so dependent on these governmental agencies? When Chicago burned down or San Francisco was quaked over, the people got together to rebuild, profit incentive or not. Katrina, and now probably Myanmar will be the new examples of 'government-assistance'. Governments are simply not competent enough. The public sector can't calculate. To put it in perspective, the whole country was hurt by this cyclone. It's a much higher magnitude than anything that's happened in the US, and they don't have the means to take care of it themselves. - 207.54.204.19 14:45, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
