no it's not true completely

Our tax money is already paying for our courtrooms to be full months in advance. The point of online communication is, i hate to say it, FREEDOM. Its a whole new world, there are no guidelines, and if you try to make some, some guy in his basement will bypass it. So really, unless someone is physically affected, just leave the nerds alone. Its all the people without the ability to get a girlfriend have left —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.213.255.137 (talk) 10:25, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Leave them alone? I wonder if you would be so quick to dismiss their actions if it was your money they stole or computer they crashed? By all means learn how to become more electronically savvy, but figure out to tap into the billions of legitimate money instead of being the virtual version of a petty thief! It may be more difficult to see the ramifications of cyber-crime but I promise you it hurts people the same way off-line crime does. If they really want to make a name for themselves they can go learn how to write the next great program that people want to use or a video game. ~Fallenscathed —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.169.155.236 (talk) 05:27, 29 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well stealing money and crashing computers is two different things - stealing money, throw 'em in jail, imho. but crashing computers I feel deserves more of suspend access to computers, as: No one got hurt (if someone got hurt because a kid crashed a life-critical computer, the idiot who hooked the computer up to the internet should be fired), and its partially the fault of the computer owner for not securing their computer properly. Thats not to say its entirely, or even mostly the computer owners fault, but they share a little of the blame. If you don't want bad things to happen, don't hook your computer up to an untrusted network, unless you're sure the network can't hurt you, and/or you have backup a plenty. XDAR: Is are country not worry what danger these kids can actually couse. Why do kids do this for money, atention, boredom, or the thought of having power something they can actually control? Just a thought though but wouldint it be simple to solve this problem even just by a little if parents pay more atention to their children. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.170.192.21 (talk) 12:49, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
