Comments from feedback form - "If the bees are needed to poll..."

If the bees are needed to pollinate agricultural plants, how can a decline in flowering plants trigger coloney collapse? Those crops should provide them with all the flowering plants they need.

OMG Have you ever heard of monoculture? How do you think people will cope when all they have left to live on is bread and water? That is the point!

Our honeybees cannot live on bread and water, they need a range of different flowers to give them various vitamins, minerals etc!!! I

n other words agricultural plants i.e. the plants we see fit for them to pollinate and subsequently live on- because it suits us to see it that way- are not enough for them to be healthy and survive on.

No more than we can survive without our 'five a day' without consequences to our health!!! Nobody and nothing can live on a 'bread and water' diet forever...

While colony collapse disorder is very real, this so-called "report" is incomplete and has no supporting evidence at all. It's just more of the same old left-wing, greenfreak pseudo science from those who probably couldn't even spell 'Science' without spell checker.

No one knows

No one knows for sure the cause of the colony collapses. Before spreading the stereotypical "we are destroying the environment" nonsense, Peter Neumann should do more research.

Maybe more context is what is needed, than just an article "sound bite" ... likely more than just nonsense ... 97.87.29.188 (talk) 22:15, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Saw this article and thought of that episode of Dr.Who when he kept wondering where all the bees were.

Does anyone recognize the correlations to cellular towers in remote areas in an inverted relationship with the decrease in bees?

174.253.132.40 (talk)16:15, 13 March 2011

Some people, even scientists, recognize the correlation with cell phone broadcasts and declining bee populations. There were studies done in Europe that showed bees would not return to their hives if an active cell phone was placed near the hive. I cannot quote who did this research, but it shouldn't be too hard to find online. If this is true, it becomes obvious why the mainstream news does not carry this story. The mainstream news is owned/controlled/bought by the same corporations that sell cell phones. It would be economically disastrous for the cell phone companies to lift the blackout on stories blaming cell phone towers for the decrease in bee populations and therefore the ignorance demonstrated by humanity as a whole shall continue to cause its own demise in this regard and many others.
