Not real.
editThis is bullshit.
- One day they'll make a movie about you, Detective McObvious.
- As long as I get paid for it. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 18:22, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
This is viral marketing for a new movie
- A lot of people say that. Do you have proof of this? DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 18:54, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
A video of CG UFO's posted on youtube is not news.
- Again. Can you prove that its CG? Are you an expert? DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 03:37, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Probability of this video actually depicting real UFOs
editis actually close to 0, therefor it should not be news. Is it possible that those vessels travelled >20ly to show off? Or is it possible that some geniuses over at Microsoft computer generated those (Halo-) vessels to hype? Yeah, no, I'll stick with the alien-hillbilly theory. Yee haw.
- Never said it was real. But this is the last time I am going to ask: if this is a "viral" advertsiement, prove it. Otherwise stop spamming that movie around Wikinews. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 16:47, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Youtube Pulling the original video?
editAnyone want to comment on someone saying on the Youtube site under the comments on the video that the original was removed by Youtube for unknown reasons. Captainamerica 17:01, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
- I too have noticed that as well. DragonFire1024 (Talk to the Dragon) 17:05, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Same UFO different video
editThe title of this video says that it's from Dominican Republic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mos9-LReoWQ. If you watch at the end the same UFO appear as in the one from Haiti.
Haiti UFO's
editIt is very good. If it were a hoax, it could be that it may be a promotion for LiveLeak.com which is a beta YouTube look-alike. I have not heard of LiveLeak before this so it did its job for me. I was very impressed with the video though. The tops of palm trees looks similar but are not exactly the same. You can see some palm fronds moving up and down too, possibly due to the UFO downdraft? I wonder if there are other eyewitness reports from the public.
OMG! Looks very real!
This is fake, it's promo for HALO 3 which is coming out soon.
By the way, here is a video debunking this YouTube vid. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=b47_1186858058&c=1
Should not have made main page
editIt's like taking a piece from Armageddon and saying the White House has been blown up. Yes there's no proof that it's fake, but if you watch the video it's obvious that the "ships" are CGI. Definitely dumbing down of Wikinews. 86.219.192.153 19:22, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- agreed.--70.74.80.112 04:47, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
UFO's!!!
editI stringly believe that we are not the only life-forms in the universe, from the picture I can not say if I believe the article or not however I do believe that is is not inpossible. Think about it.
- Whether or not there is other life in the universe, this video is not newsworthy, IMO. Also, proper spelling can quite a bit to one's credibility. Think about it.
Fake?
editThe video has already been proven false in a video to respond to the one posted. The top of the trees have been matched and they are identical to other trees in UFO sightings. As well, these trees can be found in a 3D rendering program Vue6. Although it has not been confirmed, the renders of the tree shown are exactly the same as the ones in the video.
