Comments:Gunman at Illinois campus said to have stopped taking medication

When will you learn US??? Gun control works, the 2nd amendment or whatever it is is out of date. It may have been a good idea in colonial times, but certainly not today. How often do guns save people? -<Hoj Ferwerk - (talk) 09:27, 18 February 2008 (UTC)>

Are you stupid? He was already carrying the gun illegally loaded. And, the other people didn't have a gun. He bought his guns IN ADVANCE, so no waiting period would have helped. If he couldn't have bought them legally, he would have bought them illegally (do you think he respected the law if he was about to go out and kill a bunch of innocent folks?). Maybe if someone had a gun they could have dropped him before he hurt so many people. It sounds like you are against letting people defend themselves? If so, you must be celebrating... without weapons, they didn't have any way of defending themselves, and now they are dead or wounded. Congratulations on your gun control victory. --32.97.110.142 23:31, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

Medication

edit

Today at lunch this subject came up. During our discussion it was implicated that anyone taking anti-depression medications is on the verge of this sort of behavior, especially if they stop taking their meds. I of course kept my mouth shut as I am taking them. This kind of thinking is absolutely untrue.. in fact, missing a couple days usually results in me getting a headache and withdrawal symptoms, but never in a mass killing spree. For someone to do that it sounds like their meds weren't working for them in the first place. Anyhow, it upset me, and since I obvously can't complain to my biggoted co-workers, I thought I'd vent here instead. --32.97.110.142 23:22, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
