Garbage doesn't deserve a place on wiki.
Thankfully, there is no garbage here...
I don't care for GB but - First Ammendment works both ways.
I'am Australian and I agree...those who dislike GB, must accept his right to vent his spiel if they want to vent their spiel against him
Indeed. Part of freedom of speech is that people are free to say stupid things. Glen Beck says a lot of stupid things. A lot of people listen to him. What's needed isn't vicious opposing rhetoric, but instead point-by-point rebuttals of everything people like Beck say. Not on a large scale (media), but rather on an individual scale. People don't immediately change their minds, but if you can plant a seed of logic in them it will gradually grow, and months or years later they will repeat your analysis back to you as if they had thought of it themselves. You'll never win an argument against Beck's supporters, but if you're calm and steadfast (and make logical statements instead of spewing polar-opposite-of-Beck ideological rhetoric), his supporters will ever so slowly erode away.
It's happened in the past to other people like Beck, and it will eventually happen to him as well... if enough people stand against him.
That would of been a well constructed argument, if Gopher65 hadn't made it...I joke, I joke.
Americans need to wake up the fact that Beck is simply another opinion pushing charlatan who is a product of mormon cult theology. He does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, he has no qualifications and he is definitely not a true conservative. But then, what can anyone expect from someone who can't find anything filthier than their own personal reflection. Since people like Beck cannot survive on the basis of any personal merits, they survive by puting others down with lies and half truths in order to feel good about themselves. The truth about Beck is that he a dry mormon alcoholic who never got the counseling required by alcoholics. He flippantly throws around Christian terms like "God", "Jesus", "Holy Spirit" as well as voices of other so called "Spirit Powers" on his radio talk show. Beck is a mormon in active standing with the mormon church and is not a Christian. Mormonism teaches many gods, that the god of the earth was once a man who attained godhood status, there is no trinity, the cross of Christ means nothing and that Jesus Christ and Satan were brothers. Because Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, he is the perfect abortion poster child for Fox Network. The people who love what Beck says are no different than the impressionable sheep who loved every speech made by Adolph Hitler in his early years when he brought Germany into an era of economic prosperity. These same sheep (like the ones who listen to and believe the lies of Beck) also blindly followed Hitler into one of the darkest chapters of world history. Beck and the Fox Network both cater to the same lowest common denominator of demagogery. The man would not know the first thing about God as he is a mormon. Someone should ask him which of the many mormon gods he kept talking about during his argument with himself on Saturday. Unfortunately, these teabaggers out there do not realize that Beck is talking about a different god than that of Christianity, Judaism or Islam and that he has been a product of mormonism cultism from the day he started doing a radio talk show as an opinion pusher.
And the man behind the curtain is Glen Beck. The only people who believe him must come from the land of oz. what we need is real people for real problems. Not entertainers who give performances to sale their next book. Wake up Mr. Beck you are not MLK. You made a day that was for Mr.King in to an infomercial. Thanks Alot :(
It amazes me that this article is supposedly about the Restoring Honor Rally and you focus the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs to disparage the event by Al Sharpton by relagate Alveda King (niece of King's, comments to the 10th paragraph. It is very wasy to see the bias in your reporting. Typical!
Typical of the Republican who thinks if it is not in his favor it's bias. go watch Fox if you want your side of the story they worship Beck all day.
I don't want bias on either side - you clearly show yours.
I have to ask my fellow Democrats, "Why does the mainstream media portray this event, which hasn't even happened yet, as of the writing of this comment, condemn the rally?" What are they afraid of?
I have a dream too Martin Luther. It's to go to the grocery store without being accosted. You had your chance but FAILED as USUAL so shut up and let the adults talk.
The Main Medias Liberal Bias is the oldest hoax in the republican book. even republicans admit it so drop it.
Obama, Democrats got 88 percent of 2008 contributions by TV network execs, writers, reporters

Where is the follow up? No further information provided or links to what happened despite the date already having come to pass.
If Alveda King will be there, does that change anything? I enjoy how everyone dances around the fact that Glenn Beck is White and MLK was (is?) black. I say despite this being an incredibly "ballsy" move by Beck, its kinda complements the worthy and great plight of MLK.
If you think that MLK would support this then you need to backtrack to beck article on MLK (MLK Socialist?) so stop pretending that Beck respects Martin Luther King.
You are suggesting that people are summed up by one characteristic. Hypothetically, someone could be a socialist but still be a heroic and brilliant figure in history. I believe in equality, but I dont believe in socialism - humans aren't 1-D or even 2-D, they are complex creatures.
If your trying to say that a socialist can be a nice person not a radical then i agree with you however MLK was not a Socialist. Beck however might be after all denouching Socialism could be a cover for being one.
He wasn't a communist or "hardcore" socialist but, well, the fully-sourced Wikipedia article can say it better than I can: [1] - a few paragraphs into that section it gets to his "democratic socialist" stance. He isn't a socialist is the "traditional" sense but he had enough leanings that he himself used the term democratic socialism - in order to avoid the communist label! Today he probably would have come up with something else, since socialist is the word used to demonize people in today's media.
This is why you need to study the nuanced positions of political figures; labels are inadequate but often broad enough that they aren't necessarily inaccurate, and for some reason they're always evocative.
Yeah, I would just like to say how strange it is for Beck and others to hold the rally at the site where King gave his speech. Individuals like Beck do not represent voters like me in any way, shape or form. If Reagan came back and saw what was happening to his party, I think he would throw up. How dare Beck and others call themselves "patriots". The GOP just seem to look more and more ridiculous everyday.
Beck unlike MLK trys to divide people he is nothing but trash and it's sad to see the party of Reagan to go to such lows.
