What Rescue plan?
editDoes Bush not understand what congress did? There is no bill. There is no rescue plan. The (what was) bill is dead. In order for anything to be passed by the House, it has to be a new bill. Whether it has some or all of the provisions as the last or new stuff, remains to be seen. Regardless the bill, as it was, exists no more. Congress needs a new strategery. George Bush Bailout plan
editGeorge Bush seems to be very urgent on pushing through his bailout plan. He was not as urgent on injecting, without the right to court oversight, tax payer money into the bailout while he was hanging Saddam. Yet, this liquidity problem is not from today or yesterday, but from easily 2005 and even earlier, when George Bush was happily spending billions of dollars fighting Iraq's civil war for Iraq. Just look up 'US government debt' or something like it on your favourite search engine. The U.S. government knew for many years they were happily getting themselves into billions of dollars of debt. The euro started at about the same value as the dollar; be welcome to look up for yourself how the dollar differs in value from the euro nowadays. Actually George Bush doesn't want to inject tax payer money, actually he wants more money to be printed out of thin air, which, incidentally, is exactly what Mugabe's reserve bank chairman is doing in Zimbabwe. How many Zim dollar? How many U.S. dollar? Americans used to rest on the laurels of the size of their economy. I am writing this on a MacBook Pro. Flip it over, on the bottom it says 'Assembled in China.'. U.S. economy? Chinese economy? British economy? Whose economy? Up to now, the EU injected more money than the Fed did. Whose economy? The previous depression started in 1928-1932; only in 1975 were Americans allowed to individually own their own gold again. Americans can have their wars, but they must realise they're starting to pay for their wars. Americans should prepare themselves for a half century of financial hardship ahead in exchange for the wars that they are so happily fighting in other people's countries. They could also remember God again by stopping abortion and legal homosexual marriage and see how God heals their land.84.23.102.204 19:12, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, yes, REPENT, that will solve the problem. Pfft, bury your god. The world has suffered enough at the hands of conviction, the last thing we need is a religious perspective on monetary issues.
- Up until that last sentence, everything you said was very VERY true. And then the last sentence. Why would god have anything to do with the problems in America, after everything you said previously that completely explained the reason? -- 199.190.223.190 13:43, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, if you believe God is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent, why wouldn't it have something to do with God? It's all a matter of perspective. Jade
