It may be interesting that back in 90ties Mr. Valko used to represent he state in case of allegedly fraudulent privatization on Nafta Gbely. Mr. Gasparovic, who currently is a president of Slovakia had been repeatedly accused by media of profiting from this privatization. In fact, they were almost neighbors in residential district near Bratislava. However Mr. Valko was involved in many major legal cases in Slovakia, often involving people who were said to be in contact with mafia, such as "Raselina" case or "Duckeho zmenky" case. Recently he was appointed member of board of directors of slovak gas monopoly company - the SPP. Thus, the murder might be as well connected with certain information he might have discovered there. He was also involved in Tipos case where the judgment on several dozens milions of euro against the state is about to be pronounced by the Supreme Court.
