his motive may have been to spare them the pain of losing a father. or he may have been mentally ill/psychotic and believed that killing them (and himself) was necessary for some (higher) reason. or he may have hated them, so he killed them, but then didnt want to face the court/himself for that act. who knows.
That's messed up.
