I'd be pretty suprised if this were truly the first live advertisement ever on British TV. From the advent of television up through the 50's, live advertisements were common in the US, and I assume in Great Britain too.

British television didn't advertise until 1955 and maybe at that point advertising was recorded. Anonymous101 :) 07:24, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
