Muslims have a documented history of honor killings. I would like to see this motive explored for the shooting.

True. My guess is that, being a woman, she didn't do one of the following: completely covering herself with a burka; admitting that he is half the worth of a man (Qur'an (2:282) - (Court testimony) "And call to witness, from among your men, two witnesses. And if two men be not found then a man and two women.", Qur'an (4:11) - (Inheritance) "The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females"); Maybe she was raped and didn't have four male witnesses. Not sure about this one because she would have been flogged, not shot, in his case.

Doesn't say in the article that she or her stepfather are Muslim. Her stepfather's name is Roy which doesn't sound too muslim to me. Also, Lebanon has a large percentage of non-muslim citizens. (see: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Lebanon) I would also like to see the motives, however.
