Bus Drivers will not accept Liri - 1 hour queues at banks to change currency. There are armed police at Maltese banks making people wait outside because of the confusion over the new currency.

'It is an absolute joke' said Mrs Camilleri waiting outside on of the Islands banks. 'I have been waiting here for 45 minutes to get in I don't know how long I will be waiting when I get inside' It seems there is major panic here with people trying to change the coins!
