As long as there are religious ideas holding back any society they are going to upset the people that realize they are ridiculous. Mexicans are hard workers; Christians and Muslims are hard worshipers. It's sad that at this day and age we still have people in the world adhering to ancient texts that make no sense. Science has prevailed and it's time to let go of ALL BAD TRADITIONS. Please people go read your bibles and then look at what science has discovered since it was written. Any semi-intelligent person will hopefully see that it's not only silly but irresponsible to continue grasping to these ideals for EMOTIONAL reasons

Your probably an atheist. If it wasn't for the bible science would not be!!! Where did all the Ologies come from? Please stop insulting people. You need to learn a lesson about the BIBLE, please read it before you comment...

Can't Accommodate edit

I've never worked on an assembly line, but I've worked as a short order cook in a restaurant. And let me tell you, if someone came along and demanded (demanded!) that they have a break at sunset (right in the middle of our busiest time), they'd have been fired on the spot. It's different in an office environment, or even at a construction site, because in such places you can take a break any time you want. In some jobs that just isn't true.

What about hospital workers? Many of our doctors are being imported from southern/western Asia right now, because of a shortage here. What happens if you end up with a hospital where all the doctors are Muslim? Would they all walk off the job in the middle of surgery just because it happens to be sundown? I sure as heck hope not.

It's frightening how beholden to their outdated religion these people are. Islam needs to evolve like other religions have (started to), or it will eventually be swept aside by a changing world. Those who don't adapt, die. That's just the way things are. Gopher65talk 16:12, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Graveyard Shift edit

I say let them work the graveyard shift.. No worry's about sunsets, or dinner, I don't think prayers happen in the middle of the night. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.71.70.245 (talk) 23:59, 17 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Prayer times can be adjusted in some situations edit

Looks like a lot of people only wanted an excuse to criticize religion, and/or Islam. Islam is actually very adaptable. That is one of the reasons it is so common over such areas. Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism are the major missionary religions and are all very adaptable. In this case it may or may not fit the requirements to adjust the timing for prayers but in other cases they are allowed to be adjusted; there are various rules for this, but basically if you are prevented from completing it properly then you must wait until you can do it properly. This conflict is just being depicted this way to deflect attention from some other work conflicts I think. 68.210.66.81 04:58, 18 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Work is a work, There is a saying if you were in Rome do what the Romans do...you are in the US were time is important and we should segregate the time of job and prayer...but if praying as per one's religous observance in the Business field in the US, production will be lost. If you pray 5X then what will be your production output..other doing this things just to escape from work load..job is job they should remember that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by El gringo (talkcontribs) 15:44, 19 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
