I think it was wrong of Aziga in failing to disclose his status with HIV however, I feel that the legal system has not caught up with modern day issues such as HIV/AIDS. In particular, I find that the jargon used in this case is unreflective of what has actually taken place. "Aggravated Sexual Assault" is to represent how Aziga failed to disclose his HIV-positive status to the victims yet, "Aggravated Sexual Assault" makes it sound like Aziga forced the women into sexual relations with Aziga, and this is not necessarily true. Furthermore, I find that implicit in the legal language used to describe the case and thus is the final court ruling, is the notion that HIV/ADS peoples are criminals. This is a completely unjust premise and unacceptable. As a society, we need to de-stigmatize HIV/AIDS and increase education and even acceptance to prevent similar situations. Also, our laws need to become modernized to accurately describe current issues such as HIV/AIDS to reach justice. My heart goes out to the impacted women and their families. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.230.119.243 (talkcontribs) 17:37, 25 May 2011
