At the time of the posting of this article the Governor General has not approved the PM's request for prorogation although it is considered to be a matter of formality. 24.79.99.250 (talk) 20:27, 30 December 2009 (UTC)Chris BurnettReply

I smell a PART - uhh, promotion of Canadian interests in the Caribbean. Who doesn't like a four month, all expenses paid vacation while simultaneously dodging actual governance? That doesn't even have to be sarcastic; it's pretty sweet. Well, for government employees, anyway. They're excellently suited to doing fairly little and not getting bored. —70.31.58.145 (talk) 03:12, 31 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Harper is unethical edit

It is absolutely outrageous that Stephen Harper abuses his power as Prime Minister! Time and time again he has shown himself to be an unscruplous, conniving, petty politician!

But, he is a politician you may point out. Yet, what makes it so maddening is the fact that he started out wanting to reform the political process, that he elicited much hope in that regard in the hearts of people like myself, and finally that he is an evangelical Christian.

Sadly, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Evangelical Christians should feel embarrased that one of their own professes Christ as Lord in church yet doesn't model his behaviour in the workplace. Sure, he is a staunch supporter of Israel and an opponent of gay marriage, but I hope, they will have the moral courage to condemn him when he is unethical and behaves inappropriately, just as they surely praise him when he is "moral" and shares their political and social views. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.14.23.124 (talk) 07:27, 31 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
