The Beast is well-named.... That thing is seriously ugly (and I'm not automatically against big, chunky vehicles, at least not in terms of looks). It looks alright in that picture, but from some forward angles the front is truely hideous. Perhaps Obama should buy a Mini or something.... I've thought for some time that it would absolutely hilarious to see the Prime Minister of Canada buy a VW Beetle (armoured of course), and paint it like the Canadian flag. Remove the Cadillac logo

This is one area where Presidents continue to do product endorsement when they have agreed not to do so.

But even if they were allowed to do endorsements, why do Presidents (or the Secret Service) choose Cadillac and Lincoln or some other high-dollar brand? When a Republican rides around in a Cadillac, he just reinforces the stereotype that all Republicans are part of priviledged class who deserve to pay higher taxes because they have so much wealth that they don't need. When Obama rides around in a Cadillac, he inspires other African Americans to waste their money on high-cost brand names (ie Timberland, North Face, Louis Vuitton, etc) and leave themselves up to their neck in debt.

If they need to slap a brand on the Beast, why not set and example just make it a Chevy, Ford, or Dodge? Obama doesn't need an expensive brand to gain the respect of Americans or other world leaders.
