THIS GUY HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL

A LOT OF PEOPLE AGREE THAT HE WAS GOING TO STAR IN ONE OF HIS BEST ROLES EVER AS TEH JOKER AND THAT HE COULD HAVE DONE A LOT MORE.

Press hasn't treated this tragedy with any respect... seemed more concerned with the weather. He will be missed.

What is Hollywood turning into?

I had no idea how much I was relying on his future career as a point of entertainment in my life... well, I just wanted to pay my respects in the only way I know how: the Internet. Dark Knight is gonna hold a whole new significance for me now, hope the film stands up to that, as a proper memorial or something.

And to all these assholes insulting the man, piss off. It may be suicide, yes, but it could just as likely be an accidental overdose, especially considering his recent interview where he noted he was having trouble sleeping after completing his role as the Joker. He said that even with two ambien he could only get an hour sleep. It could be he accidentally took too many. And if it was a suicide, that doesn't make it any less tragic and that doesn't make him a "selfish bastard". He could've been suffering from depression and been unable to deal with it or think straight. If that's the case, its a shame he didn't get help in time. He was a talented man and he will be missed. Overdose?

The police say that there could be a == POSSIBLE == over dose. They never completley said it was an overdose. Even though it could very well be the police wasnt exactly sure that it infact was an over dose. So you cannot say it was infact an overdose.

For all of you loser who disliked or hated him or said that he should have killed himself after..so and so you can all die. For another reasnon they NEVER said that he killed himself, or that it was a suicide. They said it was POSSIBLE that it was a suicide so get ALL of your facts straight poparatzi before you go leaving your comments about the unknown you so called "CLAIM" to know.

Pills

There are rumors that he was surrounded by pills when his body was found, but this is just a rumor. The policeman who held the press conference informing the press about the incident stated that pills were not found all around him, but the police did find pills in the apartment. - Gatty790 02:57, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I was a great fan of this great talent!

I was shocked! His death would have shocked me at any age. He was a great actor. Many people saw him as a great future talent but to me he was already a great talent. Inacuracys

Heath was found at the foot of his bed, naked and face down, he was not found "surrounded by pills" they were on a night table, he had had trouble sleeping after the filming of a sequal to batman returns.

It's a sad day for the Australian film industry today,heath ledger will be sadly missed he was a fantastic actor and person. I still can't believe that he is really dead it's like a horrible nightmare. RIP

I was/am very very sad to hear this he was a great actor not just by appearance but in every way. I'll miss his deep voice asking his father to participate in the war (the patriot) nor will I ever forget Sir Ulrich on a horse (a knight's tale) and I always wanted to be the girl in 10 things I hate about you. We'll miss you heath. Deep respect and support to his family and friends.

R.I.P. Heath!

many people are speculating whether this was suicide or an accident. personally, i think it was an accident. Not thst I knew him personally but Heath didn't seem like the type of man who would commit suicide.

He had just began to recooperate from his divource by finding himself a new girlfriend so there would be no need for him to do this. This prescribed drugs that he had overdosed on had been taken by many other Australians and had had the same effect. It wasn't suicide, it was a bad reaction to the drug, which, tragically, resulted in death for Heath.

I am one of his biggest fans and it doesn't seem to be sinking in that he is dead. I will always love him and miss him so much. I am devastated to know that there will no longer be any more films with him in apart from all the great ones he has previously released.

Heath Ledger

Heath Ledger was an aspiraring actor with a full career infront of him but he was more than that he was a loving family man who loved his daughter Matilda more than anything. It is most likly his death was accidential and not suicide. A message to the Ledger Family: Your son did many great things he won and oscar, he had a child whom he loved and he acted in many great films, evn if you sons life was cut short he did in those 28 years what many dream to accmplish and will never get the chance. Heath was blessed with a gift of a loving family, he had a smile that could light up a room, he had the gift to be himself in the world of hollywood, he didnt loose himself and he stayed true to his family, his fans and mostly to himself. Heath also had a gift of acting, he could become any character no matter how difficult. And for all those things Heath will be remembered.
