Pointless to release a second version of the iPad, yet typical of Apple.

Apple product updates are a pretty consistent annual occurrence. Recent anonymous interviews with Apple employees have suggested that the iPad 2 is just a stop-gap measure and that an iPad 3 overhaul will soon be on the way. Will you hold out for the next iPad?

Source that; add that.

What is all this fuss about the white iPhone/iPad? It only means longer waiting periods if you don't want a particular color. Why white? Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 01:16, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

I would prefer dark blue, but Apple doesn't have much for customisation themselves.

The white iPad 2 will be available immediately on March 11th, there won't be a wait like there was for the iPhone 4.

Believe it or not, the delay was caused by the inadvertent effect the white color had on the proximity sensor which the iPad doesn't have. Many of the parts used were also of inferior quality on the white iPhone.

THey haven't released it yet, it was announced.
