I do his family well. His grand son and grand daughter live in Glenwood ia. He has family in Omaha ne. As wellhe continues to be one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life. I can help you if your still looking to chat with his family his stories are legendary I never get tired of hearing them.

Would any one know how I can contact Karls family. The Von Hess's were good friends of my parents from Hiram's trailer Park; Karl and Lenore were my baby sitters back then, I still have a picture of me as a baby on his sholders. I remember them as great people, unfortunatly I have not seen them since the 80's at their trailer park in South SerseyLink title

Wikinews does not maintain contact details or act as an information service to research them on your behalf. So, sorry, we don't have the details and - realistically - even if we did it would not be appropriate to share them with an anonymous contributor, particularly at this time. --Brian McNeil / talk 16:32, 27 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Von Hess was actually 91 when he passed away. I know his family. His son John was really close friends with my uncle before my uncle passed away.
