it is really sad that a plane with so many people crashes...alot of strength to people who lost families, friends or loved ones —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.217.242.241 (talk • contribs)

The Missing Box
editMy personal feelings on this are that; although wreakage has, is and will be found, it is unlikely that authorities will find the black box in time to see what exactly caused the plane to crash. One has to remember that the ocean in that approximate area is over 12,000 feet deep, and even if the submersibles sent to find it actually locate it, it might be too late to examine the stored information. The weight of the sea can quite litterally crush things at deep-enough areas. With that being said though, the fact that the plane was flying into a storm might partially explain what happened. I have heard that officials rule out a lightning strike, but severe winds, torrential rains and the electrical disturbances caused by the lightning all likely contributed to the plane's demise. My hopes are that the people involved in looking for remains can atleast find enough debris to partially piece together what tragically happened on the doomed flight.
