I can't imagine this being successful, except AirAsia is going to support fan clubs with low airfare. How will a guest team be able to bring supporters along when the average monthly salary is a fraction of the promotional air tickets currently available? I'm interested to see this take shape. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 58.8.15.84 (talkcontribs) 16:01, 24 January 2009‎ (UTC)Reply

The question asked was will the ABL be a success. As a Filipino, and a basketball lifer, I say it is. All the ABL still has a long way to go to match the PBA in terms of fan support, I can see that the idea of a regional basketball tournament has caught on with our basketball-loving public. I tried to watch as many ABL regular season games played here in the Philippines and I saw all three play-offs games played at home by the Philippine Patriots. Of course, the Patriots won the inaugural championship, but I was happy to see the Bruneian, Malaysian and Indonesian community well represented in our venues. So I say the ABL was a success and will continue to thrive in the years to come. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.124.137.155 (talkcontribs) 02:28, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
