This is not truly an oppinion on the story. I, like many others through out the world, first heard of and saw "The Last Lecture" YouTube video. This spring his the best selling book came out. I saw it in a boos store last week and picked up a copy. I travel with my job and it is nice to have something to read on the air plane.

Have a business trip to Maizuru Japan scheduled, and left on the 25th of July 2008; his book is waht I read on the long flight to Japan. It moved me. I am so taken with the forsight, the blunt honesty, and the strength that this man showed. I laughed, Cried, and re-evaluated my own life and what is important. Thank you for writing this book to share your insights with us.

As I'm sitting in my Hotel room in Maizuru; started to surf the web and this morning, July 29, 2008 discovered that Randy Pausch as succumbed to the cancer. This man has lived more in 47 years (almost 48) than most who life a life what most call a full life. My prayer go out to the Pausch family ... celebrate his life ... he loved you all.

Sincerely,

Wasn't that what he was famous for??? Dying and giving a speech? The only important part about this article is the date.
