On Saturday, American pop music act Beyoncé halted a live performance at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas due to a prop malfunction on the first night of a tour.
In the middle of performing her song "16 Carriages", the Cadillac suspended in mid-air above the audience in which she was sitting began to tilt to one side.
She repeatedly said "stop" as the vehicle began to tilt. According to Variety, audience members audibly gasped and screamed during the incident.
The car was lowered into the crowd in response to the malfunction, which was met with cheers and applause. Beyoncé returned to the stage and finished the concert, joking: "If I ever fall, I know y'all will catch me."
According to Beyoncé's production and management company, Parkwood Entertainment, no injuries were reported in relation to the incident. The company acknowledged the incident in an Instagram story, calling it a "technical mishap."
