Pitsilemu is an IRC bot originally designed by the Catalan Wikipedia user Pasqual as orejotas and geni. It was translated to English and made available to public by Diego Grez (a.k.a. MisterWiki), and modified to be used on Wikinews IRC channel.
Pitsilemu is named after Pichilemu, a Chilean city. A transliteration of Pichilemu in Tagalog language is Pitsilemu.[1]
