Typing an ISBN will automatically link it, without any special markup but this feature may soon be removed. It is better to use the {{ISBN}} template e.g. writing:

will produce:

Typing an RFC will automatically link it, but this feature may soon be deprecated. It is better to use the {{RFC}} template e.g. {{RFC|1459}}
Same with PubMed IDs: {{PMID|7597415}}
