  • Walked the city for four weeks capturing these photos. Most are tagged with location information over on Commons, which can be cross-checked with Streetview.
Didn't end up with blisters until the very last day. :P --Brian McNeil / talk 09:36, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
67th year - started in 1947, so 2014-1947 = 67. --Brian McNeil / talk 10:39, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Fights/disturbances at the High Street taxi rank: Told by several people this rank is 'notorious' for trouble. Presence of two stewards, plus incredibly rapid appearance of police when fight began, clear indication trouble is expected. --Brian McNeil / talk 10:41, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Performer "unpacking paraffin" - can be read off the label by viewing the image at full size.
  • Susana Silva explained that she'd been down-and out, given a guitar, and taken to busking, during a break between songs.
  • Cowshed - "well-liked by performers"; spoke with Pat Dennis (plus several remarks on his FB page) regarding being great place to place, but was no musician's discount on beer.
Any other points need clarified, please ask! --Brian McNeil / talk 10:56, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • I'm satisfied the first was in 1947 — assuming the Festival has been held every year, the difference between this year and that year is the number of additional Festivals held (67 additional Festivals = a lot of performing arts), so this year's Festival would be the 68th. --Pi zero (talk) 12:07, 27 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
