- From what i understand reading VOA's copyright disclaimer, all text on the site is PD. The AP content tag simply means they used them as a source, not that they copied AP. Tempodivalse [talk] 02:05, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- Specifically, this: You are welcome to use any material that is published by voanews.com [...] There is no need to request further permission. There a mention about AP photos being copyright - but nothing is mentioned about prose being copyrighted. Tempodivalse [talk] 02:28, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- VOA will be paying for AP content, I'd expect lifts - and AP have menaced bloggers for copying there lede from stories before. --Brian McNeil / talk 03:00, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
- How ever the VOA gets the content, you know it is legit. More importantly the VOA publishes PD, so what ever their contract with AP/Rueters, will allow them to republish their bits PD like. Though they probably have restrictions as to how much. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 03:02, 4 November 2009 (UTC)
