It should be noted that there is a third source, [1], which says that the award ceremony will be in May. We should clarify what exactly "delivered" (from the lede) means. Thanks. --Gryllida?? 21:28, 21 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I've submitted an edit of the word "delivered" to "announced". --Pi zero (talk) 21:54, 21 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Deligne has made “many different contributions that have had a huge impact on mathematics for the past 40-50 years”, says Cambridge mathematician Timothy Gowers, who delivered the award address in Oslo today. (Source: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=belgian-mathematician-wins-abel-prize-for-shaping-algebraic-geometry), and "That completed one of the big stories of 20th-century mathematics," says Timothy Gowers of the University of Cambridge, who gave a presentation about Deligne's work following the Abel prize announcement (Source: http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn23298-shapely-algebra-breakthrough-wins-milliondollar-prize.html) This does not mean that Timothy Gowers announced the award, see e.g. http://www.abelprize.no/nyheter/vis.html?tid=57779 and http://www.abelprize.no/nyheter/vis.html?tid=57811 (The Academy’s President, Kirsti Strøm Bull, made the announcement today, 20 March.).
