Music is the best. Jackson wasn't. --Brian McNeil / talk 23:11, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Right, since fucking Frank Zappa wrote an album that sold over 109 million copies, had a Super Bowl halftime show watched by more people than the entire game, and became a cultural icon, he's definitely more important than Michael Jackson. Oh wait, that's right. Zappa's not that great and won't ever be a fourth of how influential Jackson was. You know MTV? Yeah it would have never survived had it not started showing MJ's music videos. You know... "Thriller"... arguably the greatest music videos, if not short films of all time? Even if you never liked Michael Jackson's music or persona, I think you should recognize how much of a historic figure he was musically and culturally. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.27.37.76 (talkcontribs)

Jackson was indisputably talented, but the music was mostly bubblegum pop. People interested in being pop icons will hold Jackson up as an influence; those in it for music will cite Zappa. --Brian McNeil / talk 21:06, 5 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Micheal Jackson was one of the most talented musicians I've ever heard of. He outranks even DragonForce and Genesis in his music, and that's saying something. MJ really doesn't deserve to be falsely remembered as a damn child sexual molester that he never even was! At least people have enough brains to not make fun of a dead man.

Rest in Peace edit

I don't care how weird he was, he was definitely talented. Poor guy won't be remembered for his music he'll be remembered for the media ruining his life. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.27.37.76 (talkcontribs)

But celebrities die every year. Believe it or not. --AdamM (talk) 15:28, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

A Legend edit

Michael Jackson was truly a legend in the history of music. Whether he is guilty of what he was convicted of, whether he got tons of plastic surgery or whether that was his real face aside, at one point, Mr. Jackson had an amazing voice that changed the generation. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.173.13.66 (talkcontribs)

I can't even believed this happend! i mean I love him and he is so good and the doctor who told him yesterday when michael called them and told him he wasn't feeling good didn't even want to take him to the hosptial to see what was going on. Maybe then they would have know what happend!! I can't believe this! Farrah Fawcett died and from cancer and this is just sad. I'm 12 years old and I can't belive this is all happening. I would tell my brother that One day I waas going to meet Michael jackson on his tour and faint. Then i would go back stage and say "Michael I love you and your the greatest!" I always told him that I would love to marry michael if I was older becuase he's good looking and he was a amazing person! I will always love him forever more!!!!!!! RIP MJ becuase you will never be forgoten and remember everyone:He's in a better place were he can sit back and watch all the things he did when he was living. And he never left this world he is still with us. He was kind and he thought about people and he will never be forgoten. RIP King of pop! i will always love you in many ways. I never got to see michael ever!!!!!!!!!! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.75.55.84 (talkcontribs)

"One day I waas going to meet Michael jackson on his tour and faint"... What a great shame you were cruelly denied the opportunity to pass out at a pop concert. We're all sorry for your troubles. --83.141.77.130 (talk) 15:40, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Criminal activities edit

I see no relevance in citing someones' alleged criminal activities in a news report that is about someones' death. Why not say something about how millions of people loved this person? Why even put anything in the so called "news" article that has nothing to do with the persons' death? I think it's tacky, disrespectful, and overall demeaning to be any kind of negative person when someone dies. You suck. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.130.221.15 (talkcontribs)

And why not? Its relevant information relevant to his life. If we added how many millions of people loved him, then we would have to add how many millions more hated him. We have a NPOV rule and adding all that would be like idolizing him. We are not here to do that or make sensationalistic claims. News articles are about the facts of a situation. michael's music carries on his leagacy edit

Michael Jackson has made history with his music he knows parents share his music with their chidren. When Michael put that he has worked very hard to make Thriller a memorable CD he knew it would be a memerable CD, he knew it would be remembered and passed down. All though he is gone his music and views on life are not. His passing was a shock to my family and I because we were expecting and wanting to see him back at the top where he should be. He did so much even before his death and aparently that was enough. Rest in peace Michael Jackson. My respects Jacob. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 96.2.45.58 (talkcontribs)

MICHEALS PASSING edit

I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF MICHAEL'S FOR 38 YRS.I VIVIDLY REMEMBER HEARING MICHEAL SINGING ON THE RADIO IN MY HOME TOWN OF MANUREWA,NEWZEALAND WHEN I HAD JUST TURNED SEVEN.I HAVE FOLLOWED MICHEALS LIFE STORY OVER THE YEARS AND THE ACCUSATIONS MADE ABOUT HIM WERE NOTHING BUT LIES.THESE VULTURES DEVISED PLANS AND USED MICHEALS GOOD NATURE AGAINST HIM.THESE PEOPLE KNEW HOW SENSITIVE HE WAS TOWARDS YOUNGSTERS AND THAT ALL HE WAS TRYING TO DO WAS GIVE THEM A MEMORABLE CHILDHOOD.THE WORLD WAS WELL AWARE THAT MICHAEL MISSED OUT ON THE INOCENSE OF HAVING A CHILD HOOD.I AM SADDENDED TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING AND I AM SURE HE WILL BE UP IN THE HEAVENS PARTYING WITH ALL MY AND HIS FORFATHERS THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE US. Celine Dion vis a vis JFK edit

I find it interesting that Dion said: "It feels like when Kennedy died, when Elvis died. It's an amazing loss."

According to WP, she was born in 1968, JFK died in 1963. How could she possible feel something about Kennedy's death when she wasn't alive?

Just wondering, Calebrw (talk) 07:28, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

This story is untrue. Michael Jackson is still alive. I saw him at the chip shop. He bought fish (cod, I believe), chips, curry sauce and two cans of 7-Up. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 90.212.188.120 (talkcontribs)

Are you sure about that order? Was it cod or just plain whiting? And was it Diet 7-Up? After all, we don't want Jacko to be eating poorly just because he faked his own death. --83.141.77.130 (talk) 15:40, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Top blokes after death edit

Ah, Wacko Jacko. The Chasers would rewrite this song today if given the chance.

Only Zappa truly mocked appropriately when he was alive.

Quote

A foolish young man
Of the Negro Persuasion
Devoted his life
To become a Caucasian
He stopped eating pork
He stopped eating greens
He traded his dashiki
("UHURU!")
For some Jordache Jeans
He learned to play golf
An' he got a good score
Now he says to himself
("I AIN'T NO NIGGER NO MORE...HEY! HEY! HEY!")

Sad to hear, so can we move on already? edit

As much as I like(d) Michael Jackson, network television/news seriously need to shut up about him. If I hear thriller one more time I'm going to break a blood vessel. There are wars, revolutions and nuclear standoffs going on right now, but all my TV wants to talk about is how "Thriller was like the best workout music ever".

Michael Jackson Rocks! edit

When ever I need good music I'll go to youtube time in Michael Jackson. He was awesome then and he still is. He is the person I look up to. He is in a better place now. We thank good that he gave us Michael Jackson. Some people have to go we might not see him but we can always keep him in our heart. I am a fover lover of Michael Jackson.

How long I've waited to see another fover lover of MJ! --83.141.77.130 (talk) 15:40, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Michael for all edit

I grew up listening to Michael Jackson, so did my mother, her mother before her and my great-grandmother knew his name. Even in my adolescence, I still relish listening to Thriller and I could remember my mother playing him on the car radio when I was a child. So truly, Michael Jackson has reached out to many generations and people while a man like himself only comes around one generation. He has inspired millions and will continue to. I will always remember Michael Jackson!

Michael Jackson was amazing and did not deserve this shit. Poor guy :( Even in death people are making tasteless jokes about him.

He should have been remembered for his music, but somehow I doubt that'll happen now.

I listened to his music every single time he was alive. I saw on Sympatico, "What Happened To Micheal Jackson?" I read one quarter of it, and looked at the 9-1-1 tape on Wikipedia. I never thought that was going to happen. Never in my entire life.
